Install Troubleshooting

If the Install Web App button did not offer an installation, one of a handful of known causes is almost certainly responsible. Work through the checks below in order.

Each problem and fix below comes from real install trouble readers have sent in to this site. Last updated:

ProblemWhat to check
1. The app may already be installed

Browsers stop offering the install prompt once the app is on your device. Check your home screens and app drawer for the TekkaBuzz icon before troubleshooting anything else. If it is there, you are done — open it and use it. This is the single most common reason the button “does nothing”.

2. You are inside an in-app browser

Links opened inside Facebook, Messenger, Telegram or other apps load in a built-in mini-browser that cannot install web apps. Tap the app's menu (⋮ or …) and choose “Open in browser” / “Open in Chrome” or “Open in Safari”, then use the Install Web App button on this site again. Installing only works in the full Chrome (Android/desktop) or Safari (iPhone) browser.

3. iPhone: Safari only, and no automatic prompt

Apple does not allow install prompts at all: on iPhone the button on this site shows manual instructions instead. Open the site in Safari, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. If you are in Chrome for iOS or an in-app browser, the option will not exist — switch to Safari first. The install guide shows the exact steps.

4. Browser or version limitations
  • Very old browsers may not support web apps at all — update Chrome/Safari to the latest version and retry.
  • Some Android browsers (for example Samsung Internet) support install through their own menu wording such as “Add page to → Home screen”.
  • Private/incognito windows cannot install apps. Open the site in a normal window.
  • If your device storage is completely full, installation can fail silently. Free some space and retry.
5. The icon opens the browser instead of the app

If tapping the home-screen icon opens a normal browser tab, the shortcut was likely added as a bookmark before the app was installed, or the install was interrupted. Remove the icon, revisit this site in the correct browser, install again using the steps in the install guide, and test the new icon.

6. Clear site data and retry

A corrupted cache can block installation. In Chrome, open Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data for this site (or Site settings → TekkaBuzz.one → Clear & reset), then reload the page and tap Install Web App again. This removes only this site's stored files on your device; it does not affect any account, because this site has none.

Install Help — questions and answers

I followed everything and it still will not install. Now what?

Use the site in your browser normally — every guide and button works the same. Note your phone model and browser and check back after your next browser update; install support improves with each release.

Is it safe to clear site data?

Yes for this site: it stores only its own files and a popup-dismissal preference on your device. Nothing about any operator account is stored here.
